JUVÉDERM® XC (DERMAL FILLER)

Wrinkles and deep lines that cannot be treated with Botox® may require a dermal filler such as Juvéderm® XC. Prominent facial creases and folds around the forehead, cheeks and mouth can be treated with dermal filler like Juvéderm®. Juvéderm® XC is a hyaluronic acid based filler that is used to reduce visibility of deep depressions in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the human body and can absorb up to one hundred times its weight in water making it the ideal product to add volume and definition to any facial structures. Juvéderm® XC is easily performed in the office, usually with minimal side effects and if swelling occurs it will subside within one to two days. Most patients require at least two syringes for optimal correction and the effects of a Juvéderm® XC treatment can last from 6 months to 12 months.

JUVÉDVERM VOLUMA® XC (DERMAL FILLER)

One visible sign of aging is volume loss which commonly occurs in the mid face, or cheeks. Juvéderm VOLUMA® XC is the first FDA-approved dermal filler to restore age-related volume loss to the cheeks. Juvéderm VOLUMA® XC is similar to its predecessor Juvéderm® XC in the way that both fillers restore volume loss. The difference is that Juvéderm VOLUMA® XC will also help to gently lift the cheeks to help restore a more youthful, contoured profile. Most patients require at least two syringes for optimal correction and the effects of a Juvéderm VOLUMA® XC treatment can last up to 2 years. Dr. Numa is one of the first physicians in the United States to offer Juvéderm Voluma® XC to his patients.
