I cannot thank Dr. Numa and his wonderful staff enough for all they have done for our family. Recently my 2 year old daughter had an accident and unfortunately received a large laceration to her forehead. I was beside myself with the thoughts of her having a scar forever. I am a 17 year old high school senior and going in to my junior year of high school I suffered a traumatic injury to the orbital region of my face under my left eye. I saw two specialists following the incident, the first of which wanted to make three incisions in my face for the surgery which would have left me severely scarred. Dr. Numa was the second, and he understood that a young teenager does not want scars all over their face and also understood that this would not be necessary. He was able to go in through my mouth, doing a remarkable job and leaving me scar-free. He showed me great compassion and care, and has been my guiding inspiration to pursue medicine as I go in to college next year. I hope to one day be able to help someone the way Dr. Numa has helped me. Through his work, my face retains the exact structure it did before my accident and I cannot praise him enough for his expertise as well as his bed side manner.

Dr. Numa recently treated my 5 year old son who had fallen from his scooter and sliced open his cheek. While we were waiting in the ER the night of his accident, the in-house pediatrician called Dr. Numa to see if he could help us. Dr. Numa was not on call, and it was a Saturday evening. Nonetheless, he traveled a great distance that very evening to sew my son’s check up. A month later, my son’s cheek looks remarkable despite all indications that there would be a significant scar. Dr. Numa not only provided incredible care and service, but his ability to minimize the scarring is beyond our expectations. He continues to see my son and make sure things are progressing well. We are very grateful and feel quite fortunate to have Dr. Numa caring for our son.

I am a patient of Doctor William Numa. About five years ago my plastic surgeon retired, I never thought that I would find another surgeon like him. He was Chief of Plastics at Massachusetts General, he was conservative and a great surgeon. At first I was devastated knowing how hard it was going to be to find another doctor with so many qualities and one that I could trust. My search began. I started asking around and many people were willing to give me their ideas of what they thought I was looking for in a doctor. A friend of mine, a nurse of twenty years at Winchester Hospital, recommended Dr. Numa by telling me that he is the best. Another friend had a face-lift procedure by Dr. Numa, and she told me that she had had great results. I went to the dermatologist and asked the doctor for a plastic surgeon and Dr. Numa’s name came up again. Then, my best friend’s son, was rushed to Winchester Hospital after having his lip “ripped off” during a football game. Dr Numa preformed surgery to mend his lip and a year later, following the football accident his scarring was not visible at all. Sometime later, I turn on my television, and to my surprise, the keynote speaker for the program is none other than Dr. Numa. Needless to say, my relationship with him and his staff has been nothing short of fantastic. Dr. Numa and his staff go above and beyond to make clients feel very warm and welcome. Dr. Numa’s work is excellent. I have been seeing him for Botox for over a year and love his work.
